Nottingham Black History Season
October - November
Black History Month aims to promote knowledge of Black history and experience, share positive Black contributions to British society and also enhance the confidence and awareness of Black people in their cultural heritage.
To mark Black History Month, Nottingham City Council in collaboration with partnership agencies is delighted to support Nottingham’s Black History Season from October through to November, offering an extensive programme of commemorative events in the city for all to attend and enjoy.

Bulwell River Leen Walk - Best Foot Forward

A mainly flat and pleasant walk using paths along the River Leen and through a wooded area. There are benches at intervals throughout the walk and a variety of wildlife to be seen. Grade: Easy Walk length: 1.5 miles (45-60mins) approx. Meet by the footbridge in the tram / railway station car park at 2pm every Wednesday Walk Leader: Brian. ALL WALKS ARE FREE…EVERYONE WELCOME!
